Summer Youth Intern Job Description:
computer and Internet training sessions (Cyber Camps) to various age
groups in the community.
- Train and
assist the general public and target groups on basic computer and Internet
- Set up and
or maintain hardware and software
with data entry into CAP Tracker software
Web Site Development
- Update Web
site for your CAP Site or rural community
community members in developing their own Web Sites.
Promoting and Creating Awareness of the CAP Site
- Inform a
broad range of community members about the CAP Sites
publicity and promotional material for your local CAP Site activities and
information sessions and other promotional events.
records for the CAP Site (number and age-groups of clients who visit the
CAP site and the types of services that may require)
- Assist in day-to-day
activities of the CAP Site.
- Assist in
various special projects that promote CAP.
for various projects as outlined by VCCAPS Assoc and the CAP site
duties as required.
The overall goal of the program is to inform members of the
community about the benefits of the Internet and related information
technologies and to help them acquire the skills and knowledge they need to use
these new technologies.
Legally entitled to work in Canada
Attending a post-secondary institution or university in the
fall of 2012.
Not in receipt of Employment Insurance (EI) benefits.
